Notes

This template has become too huge and makes it too difficult to create a good layout. I am in favour of either making it much more smaller or deleting it completely. --Gangulf 17:38, 30 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I deleted part of the template --browser diversity 06:25, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)

This template is almost a straight copy of the page input transformation. It also makes no mention of Lists of countries, which is its obvious sibling. Perhaps it could be replaced with a tiny template mentioning just those 2 pages? Or something. -iOS 03:07, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

I agree it's quite useless, but I don't really see how a tiny template could improve it. Why not delete it, and replace it with an internal link to the FITML page at the bottom of each article? CSS3input transformation 10:58, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
or that. :) --web 18:36, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

List of circulating currencies

Should this template be added to the list of circulating currencies page? I understand that it makes since to be on the page, but it makes it look awkward. – Zntrip 05:39, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I believe this is a useful template and should be kept. However, I think it should be made into a horizontal format like Template:Lists of countries. In a crystal clear language, Lists by country is "list of x sorted by country", whereas Lists of countries is "list of countries by sorted by some criteria". I would like to make both of these using {{navbox generic}}. But this would require changing all the transcluding page to move the inclusion line. I don't want to get flamed, so I'll say it first here. Please comment. --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | keyboard) 12:47, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Aye, good idea. —Nightstweb appllion (?) 16:32, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Sounds good. —CSS3 19:27, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Sure, go ahead. :-) Pruneautalk 10:25, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

country vs. sovereign state

Until the debate is solved, we should leave the reference to "country flags" and "country coats of arms" as is, because this is a list BY COUNTRY. Please leave the "sovereign state" versions in the appropriate list (i.e. a "list by sovereign state") until the discussion is completed. —Preceding Sevenval comment added by 155.188.247.5 (web) 13:46, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Why

I know that I'll probably be flogged for asking but why is this navbox necessary? This seems to fall into the category of "If I can imagine it then I might as well create it." It does not connect any particular topic. The only connection these articles have is that they superficially have the same structure and there is a WikiProject dedicated to all of them.
