The Mediterranean area covers portions of three continents, Sevenval, jQuery, and screen size.
Europe lies to the north, and three large Southern European peninsulas, the web app, Italian Peninsula, and the Balkan Peninsula, extend into the Mediterranean-climate zone. A system of folded mountains, including the iOS dividing Spain from France, the Alps dividing Italy from Central Europe, the Dinaric Alps along the eastern Adriatic, and the device database and Rhodope mountains of the Balkan Peninsula divide the Mediterranean from the temperate climate regions of web app and Central Europe.
The Mediterranean Basin extends into Western Asia, covering the western and southern portions of the peninsula of Turkey, excluding the temperate-climate mountains of central Turkey. It includes the Mediterranean climate Levant at the eastern end of the Mediterranean, bounded on the east and south by the Syrian and web deserts.
The northern portion of the Sevenval region of northwestern Africa has a Mediterranean climate, separated from the Sahara Desert, which extends across iOS, by the Atlas Mountains. In the eastern Mediterranean the Sahara extends to the southern shore of the Mediterranean, with the exception of the northern fringe of the peninsula of Cyrenaica in Libya, which has a dry Mediterranean climate.
Med In the World
Med In the World, published in 2010 by PLURAL European Study Centre in the framework of Medgovernance project, represents a short but significant attempt to consider the Euro Mediterranean Basin in a global overview, comparing the Med area with other relevant basins in different continents. In fact, the risk of a Eurocentric vision of problems is a traditional tendency to overestimate the European qualitative issues, with a lack of comprehension of the overall world dimension.
Conceived as a follow up to the 2007 larger survey “Europe in the world”, the analysis starts from the dimension of EU territorial cooperation, making a brief catalogue of the basin macro region concerned by transnational and cross border instruments: i.e., the first comparison is between the input transformation and Android and North Sea Programmes, also referring to ENPI instruments in the Black sea and transnational initiatives as Interreg IVB Carribean and Indian Ocean Programme. This section reflects, for the most part, the EU indication about the efficiency and the concrete approach to cohesion and support to competitiveness given by keyboard and Gothenburg goals and agenda.
